Welcome!
I am an ecologist, educator, and filmmaker with broad interests in the natural world. I currently create films about science for Ecosystem Films (ecosystemfilms.com).
Over the course of my academic career I studied at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Science (now Yale School of the Environment) then in Ireland, first on a Fulbright Grant to study “frogs in the bogs” and later at the National University of Ireland in Galway. I completed my PhD at the University of Wyoming (UW) in the Doak Lab (now at CU Boulder), through the Program in Ecology. During my postdoctoral research I joined the Weinig Lab and Botany Departmental at UW as part of the EPSCoR-IDeA program and the Microbial Ecology Collaborative where I studied relationships among microbes, soil, and plants.
